The purpose of this investigation is to detect social groups in the Russian social media website VKontakte and categorize users by membership of these groups. The categorization method used is the Girvan-Newman Algorithm. The program was composed in Python, in the Jupyter Notebook IDE. Finally, this paper was composed in Overleaf.
