This project is part of the CS course 'Systems Engineering Meets Life Sciences II' at Goethe University Frankfurt. In this Computer Vision project, we developed a first prototype of a security system which uses the surveillance cameras at subway stations to recognize dangerous situations. The training data was artificially generated by a Unity-based simulation.

This work is the result of my bachelor thesis. The idea was to build a graphical tool for design, create, and test neural networks. Further the tool should be able to export the neural network to integrate it into other applications. On top of that it should be able to load and preprocessing the data.

As part of the project we examine several approaches for recognizing text in images and predicting the whole digital text. All aproaches follow the method to break the image down into the smaller parts like lines, words or characters.
