Repository Details

An experiment was conducted in order to investigate four different treatments of pasture and two mineral supplements on milk yield. The total number of cows available was 24. The experiment was designed as a split-plot, with pasture treatments (factor A) assigned to the main plots and mineral supplements (factor B) assigned to split-plots. The experiment was replicated in three blocks.

Milk-Yield-Investigation

Three cows were randomly assigned three different diets at three periods. The three diets are A=roughage, B= partial grain, C=full grain. We performed summary statistical analysis summarizing the response (yields) by cow and by diet separately.

Butterfat-Content

This project concerns milk butterfat levels in dairy cows. Primary interest is in identifying the breeds of cow that produce milk with the highest levels of butterfat. Higher butterfat is better for butter, cheese, and ice cream production. A difficulty in identifying the best breed(s) is that butterfat levels also depend on the age of the cow. In this study there are two age groups: cows that are 2 years old, and cows that are classified as 'mature' which means greater than four years old.

Data-Science-NHANES-project

The project is to analyse how socioeconomic status effects health. Socioeconomic status in my data can be referred to Income and Poverty Index. But there are also other factors that may play major role in the socioeconomic status of an individual such as #hrs worked, legal time in US, Maritial Status, Education Level, Race and Country of Birth. Having said that, I'm looking forward to analyse the relation between these factors and see how it impacts health condition using statistical methods for eg Multivariate Regression Analysis. Also, my key data would be different health criteria such as blood pressure, #times visited a doctor etc. I would be covering multiple aspects of health condition to evaluate the relations more effectively with socioeconomic status.

Studying-changes-in-Cognitive-Behavior-using-the-Neuropyschological-tests-using-the-NHANES-survey

In this project, Professor Sungur and I have conducted research on how cognitive functioning patterns change over time for a population using the 2011-2012 and 2013-2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Prairie_Dog_Barking

A researcher conducted a study to assess the effect of human disturbances on the behavior of prairie dogs. A total of 12 colonies were selected, where 4 colonies were located in urban environment, 4 in a rural environment, and 4 in the boundary between the two environments (i.e., urban-rural boundary). At each colony, the researcher approached the prairie dogs and measured the distance between the prairie dog that sounded the first alarm bark and the researcher at the time of the first bark. Two starting locations were randomly selected along the edge of a colony and the experiment was repeated twice at each colony with the two starting locations. The data consist of two bark distances in meters (m) for each colony.
