iLand is a software used to modelling the forest ecosystem and structures dynamics. It is mainly used to simulate/modelling the ecosystem disturbances/stress. The high rate of good result of the models created and computed from iLand, give at the implementation and use of iLand a big tool in ecosystem monitoring. Most of all for the management and the resilience of the forest ecosystem in a climatic changing scenarious. The software is wrote in C++ but the models use Java computer language. This make the work easier.
