A catchment is the most fundamental hydrological unit of naturally flowing water in the land. Each catchment is unique and has specific characteristics. We found there is no such dataset available by which we can characterize the catchment completely. For the United States, a catchment characteristics dataset Falcone [Falcone, 2011] provides information of more than 6000 catchments. Falcone data used in numerous studies and proven to be very useful. We are unable to find such kind of database for India. This dataset will be valuable for the future research that require physio-climatic characteristics for India catchments. We try to keep dataset processing and collection steps as transparent as possible.
