This is pretty common in iOS, gradient toolbar but it's rare in Android. However, there are hacks to combine status bar and toolbar. But we can make it simpley using a custom until. Just take a look of this project and we can get a proper idea that how to use this: This code is working from API 21 and above

HorizontalScrollViewExample

In this example I am going to see how to use Recycleview with HorizontalScrollView work in an Android Application. The HorizontalScrollView is like a ScrollView but with horizontal orientation. It is very useful because it is not very usefull to scoll up and down the whole screen of you application. Like google playstore we can achieve the same design using this small codes.
