Five MLB seasons were analyzed with respect to variables such as Hits, Home Runs and Strikeouts. By applying Principal Component Analysis (PCA), the dimensionality of the database decreased and a better interpretation was achieved. Furthermore, a model was created with Quadratic Discriminant Analysis, which allowed to classify the teams in Playoffs and Non-Playoffs populations.
