It's not just a simple media player application, but it can play avi and mpeg files. It can record an HP camera to file or show a preview. It can play RTSP URLs also. This application relies on DirectShowLib, RTSP_Source.ax filter, and ffdshow filters. You need to install the RTSP_Source filter (https://github.com/VideoExpertsGroup/RTSP.Windows.DirectShow.) and the FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder 2014-09-29 FFDShow (http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=bf738fe12cc7b91299612bc75bfcb7a0&s=50&r=&f=ffdshow.htm) MPEG-4 Video Decoder 2014-09-29 (x64) (http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=88547892f18d838761f8a6f5b55704f2&s=50&r=&f=ffdshow.htm). Note: If you use an x64 machine, you need to install both FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder.
